Sunday post #06
If I was to describe this week in one word it would be rollercoaster. Collaborated with new clients, said goodbye to an old client, worked on marketing, had new business conversations, made time for account handling, mentored a junior designer, and celebrated turning 44.
Sketch of how this week felt.
Meet the Specials
Ten years ago, I was selected to be part of the professional development course Special Edition. The course culminated in a trip to Silicon Valley to experience the Tech industry there and expand our networks. It was life-changing.
June 2014 in Silicon Valley, make a silly face they said. From left: Darcie, Kate, Rebecca, Romana, Leanne, Frances, Yo, Mhairi and Cat.
On return to Glasgow, I quit the start-up I had co-founded and followed my gut (and values) towards my future at the VS+YO design studio.
The best part of the course was the relationships I made with the ladies I call the Specials (and Kyle), I will never forget their openness, honesty, and support during that time.
We met on Sunday to catch up on life and work, and as always I came away inspired and full of joy.

Go outside challenge
Made it outside every day this week. I almost forgot to take a photo on Friday so I stuck my head out of the window to take my photo evidence. It still counts, right?
