Sunday post #15
Out of office. I escaped the studio for nine days to experience the stunning Scilly Isles. The two days of travel to get there from Glasgow was worth it. Island air, exploring, and scones with clotted cream, happiness!
In the past when on holiday I tried to shut off all thoughts of work and comms, I’ve learned that for me this is more stressful than making a little time to check-in. I balanced time off with a few quick calls and emails while Vicki held down the fort. Feeling rested and excited to be back in the design studio.
Go outside challenge
Two-week update: going outside each day on holiday was easy, I couldn’t wait to get out to explore and even managed to get sunburn on my first day out even though it was cold. Doh!
As planned I created a list of photography briefs for the coming weeks to give me focus and energy. Next week’s brief: Doors.
