Sunday post #21
Out of office. I escaped the city for a few days to celebrate my friend’s wedding. The day was beautiful, every choice they made had meaning and represented them, just like good brand design. The wedding reminded me how important it is to make the time to celebrate relationships and milestones.
In her speech, one of the brides said they had been very selective about who was present. She revealed that every person in the room supports them and brings them joy, and gave thanks for that. I could feel that energy of joy and gratitude throughout the day and in every conversation I had.
Imagine we took this approach in business, surrounding ourselves only with those who give us energy and support us. Imagine giving that back and making time to celebrate the relationships and wins we have together. This is something I’m working on and it gave me an idea to reflect on, if I had a work version of a wedding who would I invite? Who would be at yours?
At the wedding with my husband in Crear - I experimented with Photoshop Ai generate tool to see how quickly and effectively it could remove the reflection of my arm holding the camera from our sunglasses. It did it in less than 5 seconds.
In the studio
A two-day week meant I was fresh and ready to focus when I was reunited with Vicki in the studio. I worked on designing brand guidelines for a client and developing their iconography and photography style. We also found time to create a presentation for a brand vision workshop.

We are currently pitching our card game ALAN to game publishers. Four rejections so far, one refused to even look at the one-pager we sent and told us so. Shan and I believe in the game and are taking every rejection as a positive and a step towards the right partner.
Go outside challenge
Halfway through the year and it’s all gone a bit Pete Tong. Going outside - yes! Taking a daily evidence photo - not always. I’m not sure why I’m struggling with the photo. Am I bored? Too busy? Lacking focus? Those feel like excuses. Perhaps I need someone to bounce ideas off of, this week I will put a shout-out on social media to see if I can get a collaboration on the go. If you would like to get involved please message me.
